The 5 Scary Truths of ADIYOGI Coimbatore
- Plan your trip at the onset of the summer otherwise, there will be a lot of fog which will not allow you to get the most views out of it.
- Going with your vehicle will be good. If you’re going from outstation, you must remember a few things.
- If you’re taking any auto or private car or taxi, ask them for the rent/fare charge. The actual fare charge is ₹300-₹500/- And it’s about a 32km journey from the Coimbatore Bus Stand (Gandhipuram). I’ll suggest you take “Ubar” or “Ola”. It will be safe.
- If you’re taking the bus then be aware of the transgender. I suffered a lot from this. One transgender nearly caught me and demanded me to give ₹500. He/she 🙂 said, “If you do not give me the amount, I’m not going to leave you”. I tried to cooperate with the situation by giving her ₹50 rupees. But she denied it and continuously asked me for ₹500. She followed me for 15 minutes and was there till the bus not left the stop.
- Do not carry expensive things or gadgets with you because they’re not allowing anyone to enter the main areas with a camera or mobile. Although they have the option to store or keep those things in a place by taking a ticket, remember every day they get 1000+ visitors. Your expensive gadgets can get scratched during the storing or depositing process.
- Keep necessary medicines with you, like – for loose motion, Fever, Cold, and Headache. Especially if you’re visiting during the winter. In the Rainy season, you need to keep the rain cover with you. There is no shop within 3-4km.
- Keep some dry food and a good amount of water with you. They have their canteen but if you’re going from North India then maybe the food you might not like that much. It would be great if you get the “Prasadh”. There are some shops for dry food but I found it slightly overpriced.

Things You Can Do at Isha Foundation Coimbatore.
Here I’m going to share my experience while enjoying at Isha Foundation.
It was my sudden plan and which was a mistake, Since I tried to get a train ticket but because I faced these issues.
- I tried to log in to IRCTC but, I was not able to log in. I was not getting OTP at that time. After an hour somehow I managed to log in but –
- there were around 130 waiting lists :). So I moved ahead with RedBus. MakeMyTrip Bus is also a good option.
I took a bus from KR Puram, Bangalore to Gandhipuram, Coimbatore. It cost me ₹900 for the ticket. It was an overnight journey. I took the Bus at evening 9 PM and reached the location at morning 6.15 AM.
During this overnight journey, I had some problems. There were no restrooms/bathrooms inside the Bus. So Whatever I had in dinner in Bangalore is went out in Krishnarajapuram, Coimbatore. I struggled a lot to find a Hotel to empty my stomach. So keep that thing in mind, Before taking the Bus clear your poop and pee.
Also, do not take a seat in the complete backside of the Bus. It will be very much shecky and you can’t sleep overnight. And maybe the next day you’ve to leave the Bus with Headech.
Once you reach the Krishnarajapuram Bus stand ask anyone for the Bus Depo they will guide you. The Bus depo is opposite the road where you left the RedBus/MakeMyTrip Bus. Use that temple in the above photo as a landmark.
After reaching the Bus depo you’ve to take the Bus no 14D. That bus will directly take you to the ADIYOGI Coimbatore (Isha Foundation). Be aware of transgender. Helping them is good but if they demand you a certain amount then that is not good.
The Bus will take you side of the ADIYOGI Statue. And you’ll feel like – “Your journey has success”. There will be a long path to explore all the things. You may walk or take a ride.
To enter the main portion of the Isha Foundation you need to submit your all equipment. There is a place to submit everything. They will give you a bag and there you can submit all the things and enter the main area.
For men, there is a “Suriya Kund” where you can take a bath and do some meditation and leave your all past and sad moments there and fill your heart with joy.
For women, it is called “Chandra Kund”. Remember do not carry your mobile with you. That’s highly prohibited.
I have seen so many Americans and they’re part of Isha Foundation. They greeted everyone with a smile and helped us to move forward.
That’s how you’ll complete your journey. Trust me this exploration will take you through the entire day. After that, you can go back to the hotel or your house. After everything you will find yourself as a calm person and you will get a peaceful mind and so many positive vibes.
Conclusion
visiting ADIYOGI Coimbatore (Isha Foundation) can be a life-changing experience. Planning ahead, choosing the right transport, and being mindful of expenses and safety can make your trip smoother. Keep an open mind, enjoy the journey, and return home feeling peaceful and refreshed.
